Gubler Dental offers digital x-rays to accompany our suite of advanced dental services all working in harmony to make sure your next dental visit is safe, comfortable and efficient. Digital Dental X-Rays have changed the way that dentists view your teeth. Learn more about dental x-rays below and why Digital Dental X-Rays that Gubler Dental offers stands above the rest:
Safer
Digital Dental X-Rays allow you to get necessary care without unnecessary radiation. X-rays play an invaluable role in the diagnosis of dental problems. But many people are concerned about the exposure to x-ray radiation. Digital Radiography eliminates these worries because it requires less radiation than conventional film x-rays.
Better
Digital Dental X-Rays are as accurate as conventional x-rays—and reveal things film can’t. The digital image can be magnified 300x its normal size to enhance diagnosis, manipulate to correct contrast, and color-adjust to reveal hidden problems.
Faster
With Digital Dental X-Rays, we have spend more time treating, less time processing. Digital images are instantaneous. No time is wasted processing and mounting x-ray film. So the dental team spends less time in the dark room and more time with you, discussing the health of your teeth.
Smarter
With Digital Dental X-Rays, there is no harmful waste. Our digital X-Ray system uses no film or chemicals, so we don’t have to worry about disposing of hazardous processing waste, which is better for the environment.
Additionally, Digital X-Rays are covered under your basic x-ray benefits, so there’s no reduction in your dental insurance benefits. You get safer, better, faster, smarter service without the usual increase in price. Its just another way that Gubler Dental has been able to go above and beyond in providing our patients the very best in dental care.
DIAGNOdent
DIAGNOdent® system from KaVo allows us to detect tooth decay earlier, so you can preserve more of your natural tissue and prevent tooth pain, sensitivity, and other common dental problems that accompany cavities. Detecting cavities earlier also minimizes the aesthetic impact of decay and the expense of more complicated treatment, helping you to better care for your smile. The DIAGNOdent® Advantage DIAGNOdent® gives us an edge in the battle against tooth decay. Before DIAGNOdent®, it was harder to accurately diagnose cavities early, so many patients waited until the cavity became obvious before undergoing treatment. With modern flouridation practices, tooth enamel has become harder. While better for health, this means that when cavities form they tend to be hidden below the surface, making diagnosis more challenging.
DIAGNOdent® solves these problems, giving your dentist a diagnostic tool that allows for both quicker and more accurate treatment.
How DIAGNOdent® Works
We shine a handheld laser onto the tooth. This laser is tuned to a specific frequency that causes tooth decay to fluoresce. The hand piece simultaneously reads levels of fluorescent light bouncing back off the tooth, alerting your dentist when decay is detected. The DIAGNOdent® laser allows us to closely examine the entire tooth, including areas that are impossible to reach with conventional diagnostic tools, for a quick, painless, and incredibly thorough diagnostic examination.
